China & Hong Kong: Bucklet List Checked

I really don't do lists, but if I did, visiting China and Hong Kong will be on it. Why? I have to see the homeland of pandas. Plus, I need to visit all the Disney playgrounds. Some might think I need to visit the land I was born in. Nope, pandas and Disney were the main reasons for this trip.

Oh, my gosh!!!!!

Yes, OMG!!!! I cannot believe that this is my 1st post for 2014. Numero UNO! Definitely a sad state of affairs when I look at my timeline and realized that 2013 only had one post.

It is all FB's and pandas fault. Though you really can't fault those cuddly black and white fluff balls. Watching them actually soothes the soul for the entire day. You just cannot say "awwwww" when watching them. I may also have to blame Explore.org for enabling live cam streaming of all small and big creatures and natures around the world.

Jusy, You Slacker!

Wow! It's been over five months since my last post. I guess I did not have anything I wanted to say. Okay, I did, but procrastination reared its pretty head :) I'll try to catch you up.

I've got some photos I need to upload so you can see my latest trips. Yeah, I'll get to that soon.

Last month, I succumbed to "Pin It"-itis. I have 20 boards and 413 pins in my Pinterest account. Some of the boards have things I've tried or am going to try. So, I know two that I need to blog about. I'm feeling good about those.

Stay tune :) but not too close as they'll appear... ummm... sometime this year ;)

Ahhhhh!

One year ago this past Saturday, I was sitting in my home office finishing up the last of my conference calls and office emails. Yep, the last and final ones. No more conference calls. No more office emails. No more rolling out of bed and stroll/crawl into home office. I packed up the office laptop and shipped it back to that big laptop closet in Alpharetta the following week.

I had a list of to-do's for the year. I'm not sorry to say that I don't think I did any of them *LOL* I still have lots of time to do 'em, and the world will not fall apart if they are not done now. I'll get to them, one of these days.

It was a good year. I still made my Disney trips :) I was able to meet friends face-to-face that I've not seen for years! Those were the great times.

Enjoying life :)

Wow... It's Been a Long Long Long Time

I came in today to see when I last posted. At least it's not been a year :) Though almost nine months is much.

I'm going to need to get this blog going again as lots have happen since my last post. Gotta get back into a grove on lots of things. This may help me settle down. The routine I'm in right now does not seem right; not that I think it is bad. It's just not feeling right.

I might even tell you what I've decided to do with reading my ebooks :)

I've Been Remissed...

... in not writing about all I've seen since my last travel trip which I think was Phoenix Chinatown.

Last weekend, I was organizing the pictures I've taken and uploading them to my Photobucket account. As they were not in Photobucket, I see many of my trips are missing.

Well, do not despair. I'll catch up on my sight seeing blogs in the next several weeks. They will not be in date order. The first one will be the one that occurred this week. It will be posted soon.

Where has the blank line between paragraphs gone?

I'm getting turned off from reading some people's blogs.

A big turnoff for me is a big blob of text that does not use paragraphs.

If you do use paragraphs and decide to left justify your paragraphs, put a blank line between the paragraphs -- hit the carriage return (or your Enter key) twice instead of once. Otherwise, you just have a big blob of text which equates to bypass, go to next blog.

Here's an alternative if you're too lazy to hit the carriage return twice, indent your paragraph -- hit the tab key or the spacebar consistent number of times -- to show that you are starting a new one. Of course, it most likely would not like you doing that as HTML gets rid of extra spaces or does not understand what a tab is.

Starting a new train of thought...new paragraph. New paragraph, hit the Enter Key twice.

Easy peasy. Keep your readership.

Opening Day

This is my first day on Blogger.

No, this is not the first time I've written a blog. I've been blogging for a several years. I just did it on MySpace. I've become unhappy with MySpace as there are advertisers there that are sneaky and not safe. I think I've gotten a couple of dangerous trojans from that site, and it has in the past driven my laptop bongers. I'll be keeping my MySpace account, but just to keep in touch with MySpace friends.

I'll be moving my MySpace Blogs over here. If I should ever want to get rid of my MySpace account, at least my blogs are over here.

To keep my MySpace friends who like to read them, I'll post a link back to here.

This will also enable me to post a link in Facebook and Twitter. Yep, I do those, too.

Blog Here, Blog There, Blogs Everywhere

Blogs are growing like bunnies. So many to keep up with. Some bloggers do it everyday. Others do it once in a blue moon. Still others do it when the mood strikes them. Like me.

I came across News Feed and RSS many, many moons ago and really had no use for it. I changed my mind several months ago. I was getting annoyed with my work connection as it started banning sites that are not considered necessary for working hours -- namely blogs. Also, checking each individual blog site became a chore, especially when there are no updates.

As I had a Google account, I decided to check out the Google Reader. I'm able to attached all the blog sites I'm interested in. I can also add any site that provides RSS capability and I know I will not be flooded with updates (BBS or very active message groups are not a good idea). The Google Reader provides me one shop one stop reading. I found I can click on Google Reader, Google Reader goes and checks which site has updates, and I can read majority of them via the Google Reader. Though, MySpace blogs only give me tease with the first two/three lines. *PFFFFTTTTT* to my work connection. I don't have to remember which Favorites (and I have lots and lots of them) I need to check out. The only drawback is when I need to go to the site to leave a comment.

Google Reader or any Reader software/Web Feed link is a very good time-saving thing.

Blog Snoopers

Yep, thar be blog snoopers out there. I did an experiment yesterday. I took my profile out of privacy mode.

30 people read my blog yesterday. I can subtract my 3 regulars as they are subscribers. 27 strangers read my blog *slap hands to cheek*.

I guess there are people out there who just spend their days reading about the lives of others. I wonder what the person gets out of my blog.

Oh well, no more adding spice, if any, to their life. My profile has gone back into privacy mode. Oh wait, I know *looks down at blog options*. I'm going to set some of my blogs to "friends only". This way my profile is still public. That's what I'm going to do. Gonna to drive some blog readers crazy *evil grin*
